Thomas Elroy Eason Sr.

Mr. Thomas Elroy Eason, age 73, of McDonough, GA passed away September 18, 2014. Tom was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Kermit Lester and Sarah Candace Brown Eason. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis King. Tom was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. He served his country in US Air Force from 1958 – 1962. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loving his grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching his family in sports, farming and music. In his younger years, he was known for his excellent talent of being a stone mason. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Wylene Morris Eason of McDonough; children, Donna Eason Criger (Steve) of Buford, Thomas E. Eason Jr. (Sandra) of Commerce, Chris Eason (Fonda) of Cottage Grove, WI; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother, Jim Eason (Lei) of Morrow; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Tom will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 - 1:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Allison officiating. Interment will follow at Timberridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
