Mr. Tony Allen Alexander, age 71, of McDonough, GA passed away April 24, 2018. Tony was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Laura Adeline Swaney Alexander and Roy Thomas Alexander. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Miller and a brother, Gerald Alexander.
Tony graduated from Forest Park High School and worked as a sales representative for Colorado Box Beef for 47 years and owned Oakbrook Academy for 27 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, deer and turkey hunting, Fox News, and watching his son coach Athens Academy football. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Susan Kidd Alexander of McDonough; daughters, Lori Keener (David), and Stacey Young (Stacy) of McDonough; son, Joshua Alexander (Katherine) of Athens; grandchildren, David Keener, Abby Young, Kelly Keener and Alexander Young of McDonough and Laura Elliott Alexander and Courtland Alexander of Athens; sister, Linda Newmon of Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick Keeter officiating.
