Walter Milner Moore, age 88, of McDonough, GA passed away August 4, 2018. Mr. Moore was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Sybil Beatrice Wallace and Hampton Enis Moore. He was also preceded in death by all of his five siblings.
Mr. Moore served his country in the US Navy from 1947 until 1951. He was a member of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church, a member of Masonic Lodge #37 of McDonough and the Ambassador to the Masonic Children’s Home of Georgia, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar and the American Legion. He was a Chick-fil-A Ambassador and known for his magic and being the chain and ring man.
Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Melodi Prestage-Moore of McDonough; children, David Moore (Pam) of Fayetteville, Bill Noceti (Donna) of Fresno, CA, Bonnie Winfree (Paul) of San Diego, CA, Jennifer Sparks of McDonough, Mark Moore (Paula) of McDonough and Ann Waiting of McDonough; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough.
