I became part of the Fulton family on December 7, 1985 when I married Dennis and Wanda’s youngest child and daughter, Ruth.  It didn’t take me long to realize what a special woman my Mother-in-Law truly was… a woman of incredible faith who passionately served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  That passion carried on to her husband of 67 years, and to the 5 amazing and talented children she and Dennis raised.  I was also blessed to be loved and welcomed into the Fulton family as one of their own, not just as a son-in-law.

A couple of years ago our second oldest son, Isaac, created a graphite drawing (shown below) as a Christmas gift for his Grandparents, Dennis and Wanda.  This drawing has since been one of my favorites as the image depicts the love, service, and dedication of glorifying God by each of them for a lifetime.  She was an amazing servant for the Lord, and I am so thankful I was able to call Wanda Fulton my Mother, as she was so much more than a Mother-in Law.  She was loved and adored by so many and will be greatly missed.  I look forward to our reunion one day again in Heaven.

 My mother’s highest desire was to serve Christ with every part of her being. At the age of 10 , she committed her life to being a preacher‘s wife. She never veered from this course and God honored this desire by bringing my dad into her life. Together they served the Lord and their children for 67 years. She was a role model of humility, servanthood, sincerity and in every way possible, showed others how to live out the Word of God in everyday life.  I will miss how she loved my dad, how she loved us children, how she loved music, how she loved her garden and  animals, how she loved people, but most of all, how she loved the Lord Jesus Christ.

Wanda was a part of a great ministry team. 
She and Dennis were our ministers when we were teens.  She was always there to provide support and comfort  as needed. He performed our wedding nearly 63 years ago, and she was right by his side. She knew how to juggle parenthood and being a pastor's wife perfectly.  We will miss that sweet card and special note during the Christmas season.

It is amoung our greatest blessings to have had the opportunity to know & loved Wanda & Dennis Fulton.  Following a full-time preaching ministry of 52 years in OH, we were fortunate to have connected to worship with the church family of Berea Christian in Hampton, in our retirement, almost 7 years ago.  We have loved and appreciated Wanda in this short time to feel as though we have known  her a lifetime.   A most beautiful warrior in God's kingdom here on earth = her reward  now being enjoyed for eternity; and we will  worship  the Almighty again with her in the Heavenly Kingdom , someday.  To God Be The Glory!



Ms. Wanda was simply one of a kind! Her spirit was contagious and brought joy to everyone around her. She always had a smile on her face, a hug to give, and she offered words of encouragement. She loved her family so much and she has always made me feel like my family was just as loved as her own. She will be greatly missed but I know she is rejoicing in heaven. 

Sister Wanda was always helping with Sunday breakfast, playing the piano at Wednesday night bible study and where ever she was needed in our church.  She was a person that you wanted to be like.   Sister Wanda was her husband's true partner.  She made you want to be a better person.  We will all miss her and she cannot be replaced.   Sister Wanda showed love and I loved her very much.

Mrs Wanda, the Laster Family will miss you profoundly! I , Berlinda , always anticipated your warm , loving smiles and genuine hugs.

Oh my goodness, Mrs. Wanda and Dennis.  When I first came home to Berea, to assist my Mom in care of my Father who also ministered, I was shown so much love by the Fulton Family.  David, as second generation had taken on the mantel of the pulpit and I love his teaching. I remember the first Sunday we brought Dad into church in his wheel chair and Mrs. Wanda hugged me and embraced my hands in
 hers and encouraged me and thanked me for being present for my wonderful parents.  I didn't quite understand her compassion at that moment. But it continued week after week. Only four days before my Father's Passing I asked Mrs. Wanda to play for his service.  I had a piece of sheet music with 5 flats that would put any pianist out of the water.  She so kindly said "Flats are better than sharps, I can do this".  (And then she sent me off with homemade soup, ever the care giver.)  And she did so beautifully.  Two weeks later my son died and because of my church family I was able to stand up and attend church.  Mrs. Wanda approached me in her beautiful purple suit and embraced me.  So strong yet so gentle. As we separated without words, no words, I could see the understanding in her eyes and it touched my broken heart so deeply.  I meant to tell her how special this was for me.  I guess she knows now.  I cherish the day I will see her again.


Wanda is receiving her reward and we couldn’t be happier for her! 

She was a strong, faithful, wise woman who taught so many people the love of Jesus through music.  Jerry was a part of the student choir at Chapel Rock  during the musical “Tell It Like it Is” and Allison would be a sub for Wanda playing the piano during church service.

She was someone who loved Jesus and worked hard to share that with us.

Although, I had only known Wanda for a few months from Wednesday night Bible study.   She was the epitome of a loving, gracious, devoted Christian Lady, in another word, she was an "Angel" to everyone.  She always had the brightest smile, a kind word and a hug for all.  She was as beautiful in the inside as she was on the outside.

Even though we gotten to know Ms. Wanda in the past few years, it seem like we have known her our lifetime.  She was a sweet soul with a beautiful smile and softly spoken. She was a beautiful person inside out.  She would always greet my boys and I, all at the same time in a group hug filled with kisses, loves and sunshine smiles. We will truly miss her!

Ms. Wanda was always such an encouragement to me!  From my work with Crosswalk to my musical endeavors to raising our children, she was not only an example and inspiration, but also a wise advisor and encourager.  The last time we visited at Berea was February 17th.  At the end of service, I was walking out and she made it a point to hurry over to me before I got out to give me one of her warm, genuine hugs.  I will not soon forget that small but meaningful gesture which typified her life.  One of my fondest memories was at Crosswalk's gala in 2014.  We had a drawing of names from the audience to go up on stage and play a drama game with some of the ARTreach 180 students.  Ms. Wanda's name was drawn.  She didn't complain or resist at all.  She just went up on that stage and played the game with the kids even though I'm sure she was more than a little nervous about it.  That was just who she was--always focused on making other people feel special and valued.  I am so thankful for a season in her path!

Dennis and family, I wish to express my condolences to you all. Wanda was truly the most beautiful example of a woman of God that I have ever known.  I  am a better woman for having known her.  She sowed seeds of kindness in her path which spread throughout the community and the world.  She was the warmest, sweetest,  most encouraging, beautiful flower in God's garden. She will be sorely missed.  I  pray that I will see you again in Paradise, Wanda.  

I always admired Wanda in so many ways and counted her as a true friend.  I will always feel her loss but know how great her gain is.  My sympathy to you, Dennis and David and the rest of your family.  God bless you all.


In 27 years, everytime I read Proverbs 31, it's Ms. Wanda's beautiful face that I see.  Gracious and sincere, never without a warm smile or open arms for Frank, myself & the girls. Kim & Katie, think of you both as surrogate grandparents. Wanda would always ask about them when they didn't make it to church. I know she prayed for us all and I cherished that knowledge, safe in the fact a Real Prayer Warrior was lifting us up. What a glorious crown she is!

What I will treasure most in the time I shared with Wanda is her wonderful example. Whether you were with her at church or in her home she lived the life of Christ. For me, she is the living example of Titus 2:3-5. I will forever carry the picture of her beautiful smile and outreached arms hurrying toward me to give me a hug and a kiss to greet me each time we encountered each other. I will not forget what she taught me about being a woman, a wife, a mother in Christ. She has a beautiful crown to lay before our Lord. Well done, good and faithful servant. 

I did not know Ms. Wanda for very long but she made a lasting impression. She always sought me out to say words of encouragement and ask me how I was. Ms. Wanda always knew what was going on in my life, and always inquired about specifics. She was kind, loving and you could immediately see that her heart belonged to Jesus. I will miss her Sunday morning greetings but am glad that she is home.

    Where do I begin ? I've know Wanda and you for 29 years, Noah was 9 months old the first time.  Wanda and you have taught us so much in so many different areas. I remember  parenting classes, relationship classes , daily mediations, prayer life and list goes on.  I can hear little statements that went with each. Through  it  all the same point always came thru," trust God and all your needs will be met just as you need them".  My spiritual life has grown so much thru you both. She could tell you a million ways use leftovers. She always always had a hug, complement, smile and word of encouragenent  whenever she saw me. Wanda was hard worker and i never once heard her say an unkind word about anyone.. She will be greatly missed by us or myself especially. Dennis i know after 67 years its hard to seperate your lives. Youve become so much a part of each. May you let us comfort, talk and share your pain. We love you Dennis. Of course David and Janet  we love and hope you will let us comfort you all thru this difficult time. . Your mom has played a role in so many lives. We love you all. This is a difficult loss for me; I love the Fulton family, and some of them are family of my heart.  Wanda always had a kind word or a word of encouragement for me anytime that I saw her, and I was always so, so jealous of her absolutely beautiful skin. When I saw her on Friday before she passed away, I was still admiring her flawless, beautiful face.  I learned many things from Wanda over the years.  She shared her wisdom of child-rearing with many of us and I always admired her patient, yet firm, ways.  I admired her faith in Jesus, her devotion to Dennis,  and the many things she did for our church family.  She also taught me something about how to deal with the negativity that sometimes surrounds us; she always had great insight on how to handle that with such grace.  She and Dennis have been such faithful servants and the word "retirement" wasn't in their vocabulary.  I'm going to have a hard time saying goodbye; please hug my Keith for me and we will look forward to all being one big happy family someday!!

Mrs. Wanda  Fulton was the epitome of a Woman of God.  She served every day of her life and glorified God.  She will be greatly missed by all members of Berea Christian Church in Hampton.  I know she touched many lives in many congregations and many nations and cities during her years as a preacher's wife.  Praying for comfort for the Fulton Family and especially Mr. Dennis Fulton.
