Wanda Dixon Knappenberger, 70 of McDonough passed away on February 11, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1956 in Macon, Georgia to Elsie Davis and Howard Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony Knappenberger, and brothers, Guy Dixon, David Dixon, and Doc Mahon.
She is survived by her step-father, Jefferson Davis, and her sons, Bryan (Wendy) Upshaw and William (Rebecca) Upshaw. Her brother Jackie (Lana) Dixon. Her grandchildren Abbagail (Josh) Ianneo, LaShay (Brandon) Talley, Parker (Nicky) Tanner, Mikayla (Wyatt) Upshaw, Abigail Upshaw, and Landon Upshaw. Her great-grandchildren Calliope, Oliver, Denver, Leighton, Austin, and Emi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a member and previous Sunday school teacher at Henry Baptist Church in McDonough. She was an avid motorsports enthusiast, enjoyed being outdoors (especially at the beach), and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm in our chapel.
