Wayne Allen Appell, 76, of McDonough, GA passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Wayne was born in Meriden, Connecticut. He loved and valued family. Anyone who met Wayne, considered him a friend. Trucks and hot rods were his passion. He previously owned and operated Wayne's Transport Trucking Company. Later in life, Wayne discovered his interest in customizing golf carts. He eventually opened a custom golf cart business in Atlanta South RV Resort. Many of Wayne's custom built golf carts can still be found there today.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jones Appell and his father, Fred Appell. Wayne is survived by his mother, Shirley Appell of Palm Harbor, FL, his brother, Bruce Appell of Las Vegas, NV, and Wayne's fiance', Linda Hicks of Loganville, GA, along with 2 children, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 aunts and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 3:30PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, followed immediately by the celebration of Wayne's life at 5:00.
