William Curtis Bishop, Jr.

William Curtis "Sam" Bishop Jr., age 71, of McDonough, GA passed away July 17, 2018. Sam was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late William C. Bishop Sr. He was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Keith Bishop; sisters, Lillian Britton and Deborah Childers; brother, Paul Bishop.

Sam enjoyed spending time with family and friends, restoring cars, animals and being a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rebecca Kopp Bishop of McDonough; son, Michael Bishop (Anna) of Molena; daughter, Kellei Nix (Gary) of Molena; granddaughters, Kaly LaRoche, Macee, and Lennox Nix of Molena, Crystal Cowart (Keith) of Shellman, GA. and Adam Bartlett (Brooke) of Concord, GA; mother, Peggy Bishop of Chattanooga; sisters, Ellen Clary of Covington, Sherry Weathers (Keith) of Chattanooga; brother, Frank Mickel (Lenoire) of Alpharetta; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Sam will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
