Bobby "Bob" Charles Reese Sr.

Bobby Charles Reese, Sr., age 85, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in McGregor, with Reverend Joe Chamness officiating. Entombment will follow in Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12th, at Cole Funeral Home.

Bob was born September 17, 1929, in Menard, Texas, to Charles Manning and Minnie (Deaver) Reese. He was a longtime resident of McGregor, and a member of First United Methodist Church in McGregor. Bob served in the Navy during the Korean War from August 3, 1948 to July 18, 1952. He married Minesue Wright on September 20, 1950. Bob worked as a contract administrator at Hercules, in McGregor

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Bob leaves behind his sons; Randy Reese and wife, Kathy, of Pflugerville, Gerry Reese and wife, Sue of Belton, and Bobby Charles Reese, Jr. and wife, Karon, of Temple, daughters; Donna Davison and husband, Paul, of California, Maryland, and Diane Hope and husband, Jim of Richmond, Virginia, sister; Jo Ann Lancaster and husband, Bill, of Salado, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Pflugerville Nursing and Rehab Center and Gentiva Hospice for the care given to their father.

Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church in McGregor, Texas, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
