Christine Otter

Christine Otter, 81, of McGregor, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Waco. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor with the Reverend Chip Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 10th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Otter was born on March 9, 1935. She married Lambert Otter on November 8, 1958 in McGregor and they celebrated over 46 wonderful years together until his death on January 9, 2005. Mrs. Otter was a member of the McGregor Garden Club. She loved gardening, flowers, sewing, her cats and working on the family tree, but her true love was her family. Mrs. Otter was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Gertrude Syler, husband; Lambert Otter, son; Randy Otter and a brother; Monroe Wells.

Survivors include her son; Larry Otter and his wife, Regina of McGregor, daughter; Sherri Grubbs and her husband, Kenneth of Robinson, grandchildren; Tyler Grubbs and his wife, Angie of Westphalia, Jeremy Grubbs of Robinson and Lance Otter of McGregor, and a great grandchild on the way and brother; James Wells of Montpelier, VA.
