Elma C. Fehler

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Cole Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at McGregor Cemetery with Rev. Dr. April Fehler officiating.

Pat was born on December 8, 1927, to Edgar William and Ora Edna (Farris) Reeves in McGregor.

The exigencies of WWII caused her to move to Hood River, Oregon, for her Senior year of High School, where she graduated. She married Paul Frederick Fehler on August 23, 1947. She attended 4-C Business College in Waco, Texas, and went to work at Owens-Illinois in Waco. Over the years Pat served her community in many different capacities including Cub Scout Den Mother, judging at the Heart O’ Texas Fair, the Alter Guild, Manager of the McGregor Cemetery Association, and serving as an Election Official. She was a staunch supporter of Veterans and for many years she made sure all the Veterans at the McGregor Cemetery had flags for Memorial Day, and were remembered. Her interest in Genealogy led her to spend years in archives, cemeteries, courthouses, and libraries around the country. Pat also joined the Daughters of the American Revolution based upon her own research. She excelled at cake decorating, leather craft, needle work, and any craft that sparked her interest. She encouraged others to pursue their own interests in many ways and for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Frederick Fehler; her parents; her brothers Alton Curtis Reeves, Roland Ray Reeves, Farris Dale Reeves, John Ed Reeves; and sister, Ruth Ann Reeves.

Pat is survived by her sister-in-law Norma Lee Ashby; sons, Dennis Paul Fehler of McGregor, David Frederick Fehler and wife, Janice, of Austin; and John Damon Fehler and wife, April, of Midlothian; grandchildren: Nathan Fehler and wife, Christina, Paul Fehler II and wife, Nadia Ghasedi, Terry Fehler and wife Marissa, Kristen Fehler, John Fehler, and Andrew Fehler; great-grandchildren: Ryan Fehler, Kaiden Fehler, Tannor Lottmann, Evalie Lottmann, Harlen Lottmann, David Fehler, Harrison Fehler, Mychael Mendoza, and Abygail Fehler.
