Jimmie Rodgers

A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Bruceville Community Church, 583 Old Moody Road in Eddy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.

Mrs. Jimmie was born June 3, 1922 in Waco to Robert Lee and Elsie Louise (Oates) Paulson. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 70 years who truly loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching about Him. Mrs. Jimmie’s family was most important to her and they enjoyed her weekly meals. She was a kind person always willing to help someone in need.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of over 50 years, Bruce Rodgers.

Survivors include her children, Don Rodgers and wife Reta and Mickey Rodgers and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Dwayne Rodgers, Danny Rodgers and wife Sondra and Darla Rodgers and their mother, Dana Gutierrez and husband Tony; great-grandsons, Chris Zambrano and Jesse Grant; sisters, Pat Paulson and Dixie Lynn Paulson and a host of other relatives and friends.
