

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Johanna was born December 14, 1930 in Winters, Texas, to Leo August and Frances Anna Gottschalk Shipplick. She graduated from Winters High School, and went to work as a secretary in Abilene, Texas. Johanna was crowned Miss Abilene in 1951. In 1952, she married William Voigt Wade, with whom she had three sons.
Preceding her in death were husband, William V. Wade, son, Robert Dana Wade, and grandson, Karl Robert Wade.
Surviving Mrs. Wade are sons, William Vernon Wade of Houston, and Von David Wade and wife Paula of Fairfield; granddaughter, Katherine Wade of Fairfield; sisters, Ella Lang and husband Clifford of Castell, Esther Matus and husband Wilbern of Salado, Ingrid Scharnberg and husband Tom of Denton ; brother, August Schipplick of Temple, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Johanna was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Waco, and a long-time employee of Marathon Power.
