

Joseph Donald Paschall passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at his residence in McGregor, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, 500 South Madison St. McGregor, under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth St. McGregor TX with Rev. Joe Chamness and Rev. Mike Paschall officiating. Follwing the service, the family will receive visitors in the fellowship hall of the church.
Joe was born on August 30, 1936, in Warren, Arkansas to Morris and Vera (White) Paschall. He was a graduate of Monticello High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955 and was stationed at Fort Hood. While there, he met and married the love of his life, Marcelaine Chamblee, on November 4, 1956.
Joe was an insurance and real estate agent in McGregor, Texas since 1959. He was most recently owner of Naler Insurance Agency with his son Kyle. He was also partners with long time friend Richard Skipper in Paschall, Skipper & Associates Real Estate agency. During his time as a businessman in McGregor, Joe served on numerous local and state committees, including but not limited to the McGregor Chamber of Commerce, McGregor Jaycees, and the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors. He also served as chairman of the Texas Small and Rural Agents Committee. Joe was awarded the McGregor Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award for his service and devotion to the city of McGregor. Joe was also a longtime Little League baseball coach. He was a faithful member the First United Methodist Church of McGregor where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Joe was also a member of the McGregor Masonic Lodge number 376 AF & AM
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother in law, Roger and Irene Chamblee; and grandson Christian Paschall.
He is survived by his wife Marcelaine; son Michael D. Paschall and wife Patti of Atlanta, GA, daughter Rikki Jo Coke and husband John of Hewitt, and son Kyle Paschall and wife Jill of McGregor. He is also survived by a brother Morris J. Pachall of Lake Jackson; three sisters: Mina Carlisle of Daleville, Alabama, Imogene Simpson of Altheimer, Arkansas, and Charlotte Sumner of Altheimer, Arkansas.
Also surviving Joe are his beloved grandchildren Nicole Brewer and husband, Steven, Ryan Wiethorn and wife, Catherine, Paige Egan and husband, Jon, Clark Wiethorn and wife, Celia, Lance Wiethorn and fiancé, Katherine, Katy Beth Paschall, and Kylie Paschall; six great-grandchildren: Isabel, Jones, Lewis, Chloe, Grace, Chamblee; numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
