

Keith Lynch, a lifelong Crawford resident, died Sunday morning, December 16, 2012, at the age of 75. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Crawford United Methodist Church with Reverend Rebecca Hull and Reverend Kent Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mr. Lynch was born December 9, 1937, in Waco, Texas, the son of the late Frank Ross and Catherine Corneille (Alexander) Lynch. Keith was a 1956 graduate of Crawford High School where he participated in the Ag program and played football. On August 23, 1956, he married his childhood sweetheart, Billy Lu Walker at Crawford First United Methodist Church. Much of his life was spent in the agriculture and ranching business having more recently being employed by Rain and Hail out of Amarillo. He was a lifelong member of Crawford First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Try Class, served on the Administrative Board, Finance Committee and served on various other committees. From 1963 until 2008, he was a volunteer at the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, serving as horse show superintendant, was on the board of directors and was a member of the rodeo executive committee. Keith lived on the family land where he raised cattle and sheep and was an independent crop adjuster, a career that brought him great friendships. Keith owned and trained Border Collies. He was a member of the Texas Sheep Dog Association and participated in trials in Texas and United States. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Billy “Boo” Lynch; a son, Dusty Lynch and wife Jennifer of Crawford; two daughters, Jerry Lynch, Buffy Bayer and husband John of Crawford; a brother, Lyndon Lynch and wife Margie of Crawford; Five grandchildren, Judson Bayer, Jackson Bayer, Patton Ann Lynch, Alexis Raye Lynch and Koehne Barlow.

Casketbearers will be Reg Baldwin, Jimmy Ditto, J.M. Finstad, Bill Lancaster, Rusty Leight and Thomas Claude Richardson. Honorary casketbearers will be Halbert Anderson, Bill Collier, Charles Lynch, Charlie Seidenberger and other lives Keith touched throughout his life.
