Sam Wiggins

Sam Wiggins of Oglesby died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the age of 43. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Rev. Walter Davidson officiating. Interment will follow Post Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 to 8 P.M. at Cole Funeral Home.

Sammy was born February 10, 1969, in Gatesville, Texas, the son of Hollis Garner and Delores Del (McMullen) Wiggins. He was a 1987 graduate of Oglesby High School and continued his education at Southwestern State University in San Marcos where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy in 1992. Sam spent most of his life in Houston where he was employed in the real estate profession for about fifteen years and made many dear friends. It has been said that Sam never met a stranger and always wore a smile on his face. He loved to laugh and live life to the fullest and enjoyed making others laugh and believed in having a good time. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He is now partying in heaven with his Heavenly Father and his earthly father, Hollis Wiggins and many others who have gone before him.

Survivors include his mother Delores Wiggins of Oglesby; thee daughters, Holli Wiggins of College Station, Cora Wiggins of Houston, Sammi Wiggins of Santa Fe; three brothers, Mark Wiggins and wife Frances of San Antonio, Ricky Wiggins and wife Royce Ann of Eddy, Brad Wiggins of Waco, a special friend, Jamie Vickers of Georgetown; a nephew, Ricky Wiggins, two nieces, Laura Wiggins and Kaitlyn Wiggins.

Casketbearers will be Ricky Wiggins, Brad Wiggins, David Truelove, Ricky Wiggins, Tommy Bear and Tim Parrish.
