Scott Doshier, Jr. passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at The Exchange Event Center in McGregor, Texas, with Pat Cummings and Scott Hedges officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery, Moody, Texas. A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas.
Scott was born on December 13, 1930, in Temple, Texas, to Scott Americus Doshier, Sr. and Alpha Beatrice (Maples) Doshier. He graduated from Temple High School in 1948 and served in the United States Navy receiving eight medals for service to his country. Scott was a Christian and a member of Patton Baptist Church and a member of the Masons of Texas Masonic Lodge 585 in Crawford, Texas. He was a farmer, a dairy farmer, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and he adored his family. Scott took great pleasure in eating, collecting antiques, and sitting on the porch watching cattle in the field, and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding Scott in death were parents, Scott and Alpha Doshier; and brother in law, Sam Hill, Sr.
Survivors include daughters, Martha Stevens, Claudine Hedges; grandson, James Scott Hedges; granddaughters, Kristal Byford and husband, Chris, Ashley Stevens; great granddaughters, CC Stevens, Abreanna Stevens, Zyhanna Stevens; great grandson, Caden Byford; great grand dog, Chance “The Bulldog” Byford; sisters, Iris Jane Hill, and Elizabeth Ann Doshier.
