 Obituario de Charles Baker Jones
Charles Baker Jones (aka “Buck” and “Charlie”), passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2019. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean War and worked as a radar technician on F86D jets at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida. Charlie was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia. He was an avid woodworker and artist using primarily oil paints, watercolors and charcoal. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Kathleen L Jones; three daughters, Jeanne Sommers (Dave), Katie Bowles (Neal), Beki L. Walsh; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Charlie retired in 1995 and was a former Litho Manager at William Byrd Press. He was also a former foster father to nearly 300 babies for over 30 years and he always said it was one of the most blessed endeavors for both he and his wife, Kitty. It was a joy to see them get adopted. He would always express what great joy his family brought to him and how proud he was of their accomplishments. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
