Denise N. Payne, 86, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Payne. She is survived by her sons, Bruce and his wife Gail, Warren and Sherrie, Steven and his wife Katy, Glenn and his wife Kristy; grandchildren, Eric, Shannon and her husband Quentin, Ashley and Lyndsey, and one great grandchild, Layla.
She was a longtime member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, on Friday, January 13, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road. Services will be held at 1pm, on Saturday, January 14, at the funeral home with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
