Edna Robbins Powell

Edna Robbins Powell, born October 4, 1928, departed this life to be reunited with her husband, Harold W. Powell and daughter, Donna E. Powell in the arms of our Lord on June 6, 2017. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children, David H. Powell (Linda) and Sandra P. Carden; her grandchildren, Jonathon D. Powell (Meredith), Daniel S. Powell (Michelle) and Jessica C. Sharp (Nate); and her great-grandchildren, Xander R. Powell, Leona D. Sharp and James M. Sharp. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. A graveside service will follow at 12 p.m. at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
