Elizabeth Lupton Coltrain

COLTRAIN, Elizabeth Alice Lupton "Beth," 74, of Richmond, died on Friday, November 11, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Philip L. Coltrain; her children, Harris Coltrain of Louisville, Ky., Hannah Coltrain of Richmond and Stephen Coltrain and his wife, Tracey of Staunton; five grandchildren, Daniel, Madisyn, Ryleigh, Synclaire and Jackson. Beth graduated in 1959 from RPI with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and worked in that field for over 40 years. She was past president of Virginia Occupational Therapy Association and had most recently worked in home healthcare for Bon Secours. She has also served as moderator of Presbyterian Women, Presbytery of the James, and as a church elder and bible study leader at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Richmond. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 17 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Presbyterian Women of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1627 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23220.
