Herman loved his family and frequently reflected on his life growing up in a large family. Herman was quiet, strong, and easy going, but stubborn at times. He was slow to speak, but was direct, and most importantly spoke the truth. Herman did not tolerate foolishness and was not afraid to show tough love when needed. He had a strong work ethic and spent most of his life working as a painter, a trade he was proud of. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, crossword puzzles and watching old westerns.
Herman was a well-respected loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose sweet caring spirit will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16 at 2pm in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
