I am so sorry that I missed the service at Washington Memorial.  I had been looking for his obituary and just found it today.  I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Dudley at Sitter and Barfoot and the entire rehab department just adored him.  He was a sweetheart and a joy to be around. It was amazing how active and able he was at his age. The entire staff was sorry to hear of his passing.

To The Family of Mr. James Dudley.  he was my neighboor for the past 23 years.  I had not seen him come in and out of his home for the past 3 weeks and had misplaced the phone number to call his son to ask about him.  For the past few days my grand chlidren kept asking about him.  Whenever we used to do yard work he would come to the fence and talk with us and the them advice on what kind of shingles to buy for my roof or how to cut the yard. He even gave them a weed eater to edge the yard  I went and knocked on the door again with no response. I went back to my house and was looking for the number to call his son Aaron when I got a call from my husband saying Mr. Dudley was buried this past Saturday. It really saddened and touched my heart to hear the news.  We will miss seeing him and talking with him.  May the peace of God be with the family.

Dudley will be forever missed. He would always stop by my fathers house and they would share laughs and memory's of the good old days at the race track and their days serving our country.

Mr. Dudley will live in my heart forever. I met him almost 20 years ago when he brought his Mercury Grand Marquis in for service at Bill Talley Ford and have waited on him since. I loved to hear all of his stories about his younger days, his trips to Flordia, his time spent in service protecting our country. He would share his pictures of trips and the funny ones from Hooters. He always spoke highly and loving of his son. I once told him I wished he he could be my grandpa. He holds a very special place in my heart and I will miss him dearly.

He almost lived forever! This true gentleman traveled the world, loved the Lord, and didn't mind breaking into song! As a former musician he knew all the 40's & 50's hits. He traveled the world in honor of America. Memories are worth more than any dollar can buy! I loved exploring google earth with him, visiting all the places he had been. Memories are more valuable than any material item. I value the life long gift to have been able to spend the time, that I was fortunate to have spent with him. I will miss his snow day forcasts, driving tips, and tales of a world that I would have not known. Semper Fi!
