She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Dewey Draucker; mother, Myrtle Wakefield Draucker Staude; and brother, Albert Dewey Draucker.
Joan grew up in Churchill and graduated from John Marshall High School. She was a long-time member of Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church. Joan was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi and was active in the Red Hat Society. She retired from Richmond City Circuit Court as a court clerk. Joan loved her family and loved life which was evident in everything she did. She was one of a kind and everyone loved her laughter and style.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, George S. Williams III, Martha Williams Rekni (Ismail); and grandchildren, Justin Williams, Adham Rekni, Adel Rekni.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 13, at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, at Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church, 6100 Chamberlayne Rd., Richmond, Va. 23227. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
