Michael David Currie

Michael David Currie, 55, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019. He was born on August 19, 1963 in Charlotte, NC, to the late Avery Currie and Mary Anne Diggs. In addition to his father, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Chris. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 28 years, Dena Reynolds Currie; children, Michael Jr., Ashley and Shelby; mother, Mary Anne; siblings, Avery Jr. (Sue) and Cindy; special friends, Jeff, Joy, Warren, Bill and Marie; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory. An avid outdoorsman, Michael enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting, but what he enjoyed most was his family. Working alongside his parents for 27 years, he co-founded and co-owned a family business. He was a great father and a wonderful husband and will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to know him. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 22 at Trinity Christian Church, 8469 Atlee Rd. Mechanicsville Va.
