Misty Stanley Compton, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away February 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mom, Virginia Melton Stanley. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 13 years, Jeffrey Compton; daughters, Kristen L. Jones, Kacie L. Jones; son, Matthew S. Compton; father, James H. Stanley Jr. ( Nancy); mother-in-law, Linda Eaton (Toney); brothers, Randy Melton, Ricky Stanley (Linda); sister, Tina Cave; three nephews and a niece; and a host of devoted friends and family. Misty was a 26-year employee with Nationwide Insurance. She enjoyed her travel trailer and riding her Harley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, from 2 to 4 p.m., and where a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd.
