Richard Easley Goodwin

GOODWIN, Richard Easley, 60, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife Julie Otto Goodwin and his father Richard Milton Goodwin. He is survived by his wife Dottie Gardner; daughters, Jennifer Lee Goodwin and Susan Grace Goodwin and her fiancé, Andrew Powell; grandson, Liam; mother, Evelyn Goodwin; brother Milton Goodwin and his wife, Brigette; three nephews, Kyle (Jess) Windsor and daughter Jenna, Jason (Kayla) Windsor and sons Haydon and Cole Goodwin; niece Maria Goodwin; father-in-law, C. Robert Otto (Regena); and sister-in-law, Laurie (Doug) Windsor.

Visitation will be from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2016 at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, Va. 23116. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, Va. 23222. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Grandma’s (Evelyn) Home, 8100 Landover Drive, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mechanicsville Baptist Church, 8016 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, Va. 23221 and/or Trinity Presbyterian Church, 113 Wilkinson Rd, Richmond, Va. 23227.
