Hott, Richard Harry, Jr., 87, a lifelong farmer from Mechanicsville, died peacefully at his home Friday, October 18, 2013. He is survived by his son, Robert Hott (Linda) of Chesapeake, Va.; daughter, Linda Parker of Mechanicsville; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great- grandchildren; two brothers, John and Conway Hott; three sisters, Harriett Cogle, Mae Lipscombe and Audrey Stevens; and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Hott and his son, Steve Hott. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville. A graveside service will be held 2p.m. Tuesday, at Signal Hill Cemetery.
