To the Bragg and extended Family-
Ruth was an amazing woman raising three amazing daughters with Mr. Clyde. She was a true matriarch and she would do anything for her girls and all of their friends. There are too many good memories to mention. She was at every swim meet, cheer comp, dance, football game and anything else the girls were involved in. Ruth was a true “pool mom” to everyone. She was loving and caring and will truly be missed. She leaves behind an amazing legacy of great women who will miss her very much and creating their own family legacies. Love and prayers to you all. 🙏🙏🙏❤️

 Your mom was always around. She never missed a moment to watch you all shine. She was always on the go.
  She had a clipboard in her hand and could easily have run the swim meets on her own.  She knew every dance step or cheer you ever performed. She did not quietly sit on the sidelines. She made it known she was involved.
 She raised three amazing women; each one different but  successful in their own way. What a legacy!

I was so sorry to hear of her passing.  Ruth was such a wonderful lady.  I enjoyed listening to her talk about her girls and her grandchildren while I did her hair.  She loved them all very much. She will be missed by so many.  My sincere condolences to everyone. 

Dear Bragg Family - 

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She was so outgoing and loved her family dearly.

I often think back to the time our families had a great vacation together at Hilton Head. That was in August 1977. I remember the date because Clyde and I had just played Robber's Row Golf Course and returned to the villa when we heard the news that Elvis had died.  We had a wonderful week but it didn't start out too well because when we all went to the grocery store in our old Ford Country Squire station wagon some guy smashed into the car door as everyone was getting out at the front door of the store.  When the policeman who came asked how many people were in the car I said "10" and he gave me a funny look until I explained that a lot of them were "little people". The car door would not shut until we found a garage down the road that loosened some hinge bolts enough to where we could shut it. That door stayed that way until we traded the car a couple of years later - haha. Josie was too little to remember but I hope Jenny and Julie have good memories of that week - it was a wonderful time! 

I know your mom loved all of you immensely and was so invested in your lives, and her passing leaves a huge void. I hope your faith is strong.  Blessings of Peace and Strength to each of you.

 Our families share so many memories from Schools, Marion Mease, Car Pools, Chestnut Oaks, and just, well, Life.
Too many to mention here, but Ruth and I sewed MANY sequins on dance costumes!  Before every dance revue, Ruth would come to my home, and we would tackle many costumes in my kitchen, and share whatever was going on in our lives with our children, as we sewed! Clyde never ceased to remind me of my fall into the TuTu Closet, and him rescuing me. Ruth and I car pooled to all events that our children participated in. So much fun and laughter defined those good old days!  Truly, THE Best of Times!

I am so sad for the loss of your sweet mother. She was always such a joy to sit and talk to. From dance recitals to swim meets she always would take the time to catch up with me when she saw me. She was such a fun and caring person! 

I remember my first real Christmas ever and Mimi got me gifts even though I wasn't a part of the Bragg/Jones family. I still remember the Philosophy body wash set she got me and I've used it since and I still have it in my cabinet. Even though I only got to know her for a couple of years, the love and care she had for her loved ones and family were  undeniable. I also remember when she got Jared a black carry-on suitcase when we had just started dating and were doing long-distance between Virginia and New York. It wasn't a gift for me, per se, but it made me feel really welcomed and accepted; which really meant a lot to me. 

Clyde and family; Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. Clyde we worked together years ago on several projects and always fondly remember those times even when they were difficult. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort during this time of grief 

We enjoyed a few special Easter celebrations with Mrs Bragg and family - what special memories! She went out of her way to include us in all the festivities and treats, and she truly had a special way of creating a fun and welcoming  celebration for all who were there. Love and hugs to all of you - we are so sorry for your loss. 

I met Julie during our freshman year of college, and I was far from home. I’ll always remember how Julie's mom would show up on campus with bags full of fun surprises for Julie and her friends. Her love and thoughtfulness created such a comforting atmosphere, making us all feel like we had a little piece of home with us.

I’m sending my love to Julie and her entire family during this difficult time. I know how deeply Ruth will be missed.

I was Julie’s college roommate. 

I have vivid memories of Ruth showing up periodically with a bag full of “deals” on jackets, skirts, even sometimes outrageous sparkly underwear! 

It was always an event to see what she had purchased. Her face would light up as she presented Julie with a metallic gold zip up (that Julie subsequently wore often ;).

Everyone has a different love language, and I think Julie and her mom shared their love of shopping and building Julie’s unique sense of style. 

To Jenny, Josie and my dear dear friend Jules, and to Mr. Bragg,  I am so sorry for your loss. 

I will always cherish the special way Julie’s mom, Ruth, made our college years brighter. Her thoughtful care packages to Julie and our Posse were a reminder of home, filled with treats and love, always arriving at just the right moment. She had a unique way of making us feel like family, adding so much warmth to our college experience.

In a time when we were far from home, her kindness and generosity helped us feel connected and cared for. She had a special gift for making those around her feel truly loved, and her presence will be deeply missed.
