Donna Jean Ross was born on May 18, 1931 in Albia, Iowa and her earthly journey ended on February 6, 2016. She was born into a dysfunctional family, abandoned in the crib by her mother and raised by her Aunt Hazel & Uncle Oscar Poe. In her early childhood she was often referred to as "the other little girl. She met the love of her life in a Wesleyan Church service in June 1950 and married La Vern Ezra Hay on March 8, 1952 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Man could not ask for a more devoted wife & mother as she followed her husband from one Naval duty station to the next and raised her three children by herself many months at a time while her husband was away. All she ever wanted in life was to be a Godly wife and mother. She more than excelled in both. She was given a new 1985 Toyota Supra for getting her California real estate license and used it to mostly drive her grand children here and there. That car was her most proud earthly possession. Donna loved to host parties and as a hostess she was very meticulous and detail oriented sparing no cost. She is survived by her husband La Vern, two sons, Michael, wife Nancy; Bruce, wife Maria; daughter, Debra Lynn and husband Neil & "love adopted" daughters, Connie & Elena, eight grandchildren, Michael Jr., Lisa, Jennifer, Melissa, Jim, Jace, Noah & Valentina, ten great grandchildren and a host of friends.
