

Efton T. Little passed away June 25th, 2016 in Medford, Ore. He was born August 7th, 1924 to Marvin and Cleo Little in Boise, Idaho. Efton proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded four Bronze Stars. Efton worked as a sawmill superintendent for Sierra Pacific where he later retired. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson Christopher and Son Mike, and friend Bob Holbrook; hunting with Mike, Christopher, and son-in-law Gene; crabbing with our friends, Jerry and Linda Smith; as well as picking morel mushrooms with Veda. He loved traveling in our RV throughout the United States, never meeting a stranger. Efton is survived by his wife, Veda; son, Mike (Linda); two grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of Quincy, Calif; stepson David Marshall (Cheryl) of Medford, Ore; stepdaughter, Sheryl Christie (Gene) of Central Point, Ore; seven step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren; two nieces, Mary Canan (Mike); of Wash., and Donna Melschau of Calif; two nephews, John Lane (Sheri) and Jerry Brummel of Wash; Cousins, Ruth Edwards of Wash & John Little of Ark. He was proceded in death by his first wife, Doris; his parents; brother Earl (killed while on Active Duty in the United States Army); and two sisters, Elma Lane and Evelyn Brummel. To know Efton was to love him. He loved people and was always there to help when needed. There are no words to express our feelings of loss. We thank you Efton for allowing us to spend almost 16 years with you, knowing you 63 years, and sharing your love with each family member. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 1st, 2016 at the Fehrman Mortuary in Quincy, Calif. Arrangements will be made by Funeral Alternatives in Medford, Ore. And Fehrman Mortuary, Quincy, Calif. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kids Unlimited in Medford, Ore. A special thank you to Helen and Gary Willis for their excellent care giving and love for Efton during his 17-month stay at Lighthouse Foster Care. Also included in his care were Dr. Kim and his wonderful nurse, Michelle at Providence. Several nurses from Providence Home Health Care assisted us, but most visits were made by Lorraine. The entire nursing staff that assisted us was always helpful and caring. Thank You!
