He was born August 19, 1979, at Holloman AFB, NM to Roberta (nee Silcox) and Ronald Alvarez. He attended elementary school first in Lompoc, CA then Bracher Elementary School in Santa Clara, CA. In 1991 the family moved to San Jose, CA where Jared attended Martin Murphy Middle School and was a 1997 graduate of Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, CA. He was a cub scout, soccer player, and enjoyed success as a pitcher on his baseball teams throughout his youth. As a boy he developed a love for fishing that he continued to enjoy throughout his life.
Jared was a young father at the age of 17 and went to college part time while working to support his new family. He enjoyed his studies in construction and real estate. He always had a desire to own property and his dreams were realized as he owned and managed multiple rental properties during his life. His family moved to Fairfax, VA in 1997 and Jared shortly joined them to continue his education and make lifelong friends. After a few years in VA, he relocated back to CA, first to Sacramento and then settling in Butte County. He established a home with his partner Natalie and children and soon they welcomed three boys to their family. His greatest joy was being a father and his daughter joined the family in Paradise, CA where they enjoyed vegetable gardening, his old vine zinfandel vineyard, boating, fishing, camping, and his love of animals including dogs, pigs, quail, and chickens.
He was a victim of the Camp Fire that burned Paradise, CA on November 8, 2018, loosing several homes, and relocating to Rogue River, OR. He continued to enjoy gardening, camping, and the outdoors, especially visits to the coast in Brookings, OR.
