Nancy Jean Burk

Nancy was born on June 6, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts to Robert and Marjorie Emery. On January 14, 1967 in Marshfield, Massachusetts she married the love of her life, Roy Walter Burk. They eventually moved to Dyer, Indiana and welcomed their daughter, Melissa, in 1975. In 1978 the family moved to Jacksonville, Oregon where Nancy filled their home with great love and attention. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, and always graciously opened her home to entertain her loved ones. She was a devoted and loving wife, an incredible mother and grandmother, and a caring friend. She loved without judgment and was always there to listen. She enjoyed traveling and planned wonderful adventures for her family, instilling that in her daughter and grandchildren. Upon retirement Nancy and Roy traveled the United States together in their motorhome, visiting the church they married in, creating wonderful memories to cherish.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy Burk, of Central Point, daughter Melissa Olson of Central Point, and grandchildren Indy Williams of La Pine, Hannah Olson of Medford, and Sawyer, Jedidiah, and Caedmon Olson of Central Point, and her sister Diane (Frank) Ballard of Gold Hill.

A memorial service is scheduled for November 11th at 2 p.m. at Rogue Valley Fellowship Annex 600 Whitman Place in Medford. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nancy’s life.
