Pam Dunlap, 71, died peacefully October 9, 2020, surrounded by family members, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. She was born September 2, 1949, to her parents Warren and Wilma Dunlap. Pam resided in the Rogue Valley area for her entire life. Pam was an active member in the 4-H Program. From the fourth through twelfth grade, she raised Black Angus steers and participated in various cooking projects. Many a summer you could see Pam exhibiting her projects at the Jackson County Fair. After graduation from high school, Pam enrolled in the nursing program at Southern Oregon College, Ashland, OR. Upon obtaining her registered nursing degree, she began her career at Providence Medical Center. After leaving Providence, her love for nursing did not stop. For years she provided home care for elderly members of the community.

Pam was born and raised in the Catholic Faith. She loved her church. Throughout the years, she practiced her faith by teaching in the Child Faithing Program, providing food for youth group gatherings and desserts for funeral receptions. Later on, she became an greeter for the Masses and an active volunteer at St. Vincent’s de Paul. She was extremely generous in giving of her time and donations.

Pam truly had a passion for greeting card making. For years she made beautifully crafted cards and generously shared them with many. At Christmas, she made cards for the soldiers oversees and donated many to other organizations. Without hesitation, upon request of many people, she would create cards.

She is survived by her sisters: Marcia Chapman (Dean) of Medford, OR and Dana Berny (Mike) of Astoria, OR, two nieces: Jenipher Hawkins of Medford and Michelle Berny-Lang (Chris) of Rockville, MD and one nephew: Brent Chapman (Alisha) of Livermore, CA, also five great nieces: Ashleigh Emonds (Logan) and Mackenzie Hawkins of Medford, Leanna and Alexa Chapman, Livermore, CA and Clara Lang, Rockville, MD and one great great niece: Poppi Emonds, Medford. Pam is also survived by long-time friends: Gordon and Merrie Paladijczuk of Canyon City, OR and Tracie Paladijczuk of Alaska. She was preceeded in death by her parents and will be truly missed by many.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Fr. Jim Clifford and Fr. Fredy Bonila for their wonderful spiritual care to Pam and us. A memorial service and interment will occur at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Vincent’s de Paul of Medford, OR.
