Bob was born on September 10, 1939 in San Francisco, California to Burgess and Dorothy (Eastman) Rice Jr.
Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching sports on TV. He was a past member of the Middle Rogue Steelheaders in Grants Pass.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol Lee Rice; son, Stephen (Jenifer) Hope, and grandchildren, Carolyn Hope and Trevor Sparkman all of San Francisco, California. A brother, Burgess W. Rice III, of Bay City, Oregon, also survives him. A daughter, Karen Rice Sparkman of Danville, California, preceded him in death.
Per Bob’s request, no services are to be held. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Asante Foundation, 229 N. Bartlett St., Medford, OR 97501.
