Ronald Gay Bertram

Ron was born in South Dakota to Henry and Margaret Bertram on November 9, 1928.

The family moved to Oregon where Ron grew up, married Betty J White and joined the Air Force.

Completing his time in the service in Amarillo, TX, Ron came back to Medford Oregon and became majority owner in the plumbing company Valley Plumbing.

Ron eventually became an independent business owner in the plumbing industry under the name of "Crater Plumbing and Heating" until retiring in 2000.

Ron's legacy shows in his involvement with facilities like Rogue Valley Hospital, Ashland Hospital, Hearthstone Rehabilitation, Fleming Jr High School and Medford Jail along with hundreds of new homes built within the Medford and Southern Oregon areas.

Ron and Betty built and lived in their home on the west side of Medford where they raised their two sons, Richard and Randall.

Ron was happily married for 62 years to Betty J White from Nov 1949 to April 2011 when she passed.

Ron and Betty's youngest son, Randall W. Bertram, passed away in Aug 1979.

Ron is survived by his oldest son, Richard and his wife Carrie, their son Andrew, his wife Shannon and two grandchildren; Rogan and Nora, and son Timothy and his wife Krystle. All are living in the Portland area.

He is truly missed by his family and friends.

A committal service for Ronald will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd, Eagle Point, Oregon 97524.
