Stephen Kent Barnett

Stephen Kent Barnett Born Aug 11. 1961 at Neosho Memorial Hospital in Chanute, Kansas Passed July 3, 2017 at Rogue Hospital in Medford, Oregon He is survived by his wife Leila Barnett of Medford, Oregon and his parents Mary Lou and Richard Barnett of Gravois Mills, Missouri and two daughters, Jennifer Benke of Holyoke, MA. And Ashleigh Morgan Haguewood of Springfield, Missouri. And one son James Barnett of Medford, Oregon. Stephen was the youngest of four children. His big sister Liz Cox lives in Camarillo, California, His oldest brother Rick Barnett passed in 1999 and his next oldest brother Ken Barnett lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stephen’s ashes will be interred in the Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas at his parents’ grave site. Stephen moved to Camarillo, California at the age of 18 months and attended the Pleasant Valley School District grades K - 6, and the Los Altos Intermediate School grades 7 and 8 and the Adolpho Camarillo High School grades 9 - 11 then he joined the Air Force. Later on he attended the Rogue Valley Community Collage for 2 years in Medford, Oregon. Stephen was a veteran of the Air Force. He was crew chief in charge of Maintenance on C-141 Globemaster and also for the C-135 Hercules and C-5 Galaxie aircrafts. He enjoyed mechanics even after the Air Force. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed building and flying model rockets. His other hobby favorite was gardening. Stephen made friends easily and had a big smile for everybody. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and his family.
