Alex was born in Altheimer, AR, to Alex and Frances Perry, Sr., on May 2, 1925,and grew up in Tunica, MS.He is survived by his wife ,Isolde, of Nesbit, MS; children Alex III (Laura), of Memphis,TN; Sylvia Earwood (Jack),of Olive Branch, MS; Priscilla Bland (Joey), of Memphis, TN,and Elizabeth Glore (Dennis)
of Frisco, TX; and six grandchildren,Daniel (Rachel) and Hallie Earwood; Rivers and Sarah Veazey; Hudson and Hannah Glore.
Alex graduated from Mississippi State University, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He received a Master’s Degree in Economics from Southern Illinois University.He was a veteran and served in the Army in World War II. He actively managed his farm in Tunica; he enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and reading; and was proud of all his children and grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, from 1-3 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue in Memphis.
