Alma Louise Williams, age 91, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away at Shelby Gardens Memory Care Center on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Alma was born on June 10, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Williams; her daughter, Tricia Croft and her brother, Johnny Carson.
'Ms. Louise' as her neighbors called her, never met a stranger. She loved on everyone she came in contact with both children and adults. Ms. Louise kept a jar filled with bubble gum, various snacks and ice cream sandwiches for her grandchildren and children in her neighborhood who stopped by to see her. When she retired, she and her husband enjoyed doing arts and crafts projects and she loved to paint. Earlier in life she played the piano for her church and sung in the choir. She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline singing group. She will be missed by all those that knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Charlotte Montague; one sister, Juanita Lofton; two brothers, Joe and Jack Carson; three grandchildren, Brandon Montague, Heather Hayes and Christi Poe; five great grandchildren, Delaney Poe, William Gage Poe, Mason Slate, Hayden Lowe and Hannah Grace Hayes; other family and friends.
A visitation for Alma will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm with services to follow at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. The interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3700 North Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
