Andrew Stephen Rutledge of Memphis, TN passed away on May 18, 2023 at his home. Andrew leaves behind his wife, Tena Reed Rutledge, son, Andrew William Rutledge, mother, Maxine Rutledge and many other family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Cecil Rutledge. Andrew grew up in the Raleigh area of Memphis and graduated in 1987 from Craigmont High School. Andrew attended Memphis State University where he was a Sigma Chi and earned both a BBA & MBA in Business with a major in Finance. Andrew worked for many years in the investment industry as a fixed income analyst writing complex programs for the trading desks. Andrew loved many kinds of music and enjoyed playing both the piano and guitar. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves play baseball and the Memphis Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies play basketball. He loved playing with his dogs Scout and Ruby. Most of all Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family and was exceptionally proud of his son’s recent graduation from UT Austin and new job as a Mechanical Engineer in the aerospace industry working on rocket propulsion testing. A memorial service for Andrew will be held on Saturday, May 27th at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue in Memphis with visitation from 1-2 PM and the service beginning at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice.
