Services for Tony will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Memphis Funeral Home- Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. Services will be from 3-5 PM, with a ceremony to follow at 5 PM. Mask will be mandatory.
Tony was born November 16, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee to Kenneth and Sue Hoover. He was a graduate of Wooddale High School, Class of 1981. Tony married Sara Owens on December 6, 1985. Five years later, they welcomed their first daughter, Megan Lane (1990). In 1994, their second daughter, Emily Gail was born. Tony was an employee of REXAM Beverage for 33 years before changing careers and joining the FEDEX family. Tony was known best for his joyful laugh and being able to put a smile on anyone’s face. Anywhere Tony went, he made a friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Sara Hoover; mother, Sue Hoover; daughters, Megan Hoover and Emily Hoover, and many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to West Cancer Clinic or Shriners Hospital for Children.
