Beatrice Turner Harris

Barbara Beatrice Turner Harris, 96, of Memphis, passed away October 3, 2011 at Kirby Pines Manor. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and former member of the original St. Paul United Methodist Church in Memphis. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and had been a pianist at both churches and at Kirby Pines. The widow of Johnny Harris, she is survived by her daughters, Martha Harris Klepzig of Abbeville, MS, Nancy Harris Kellon of Bartlett, TN, Barbara Harris Sutherland of Bartlett and Mary Harris Blackburn of Brentwood, TN, 11 grand-children and 13 great-grandchildren. She will always be an inspiration to her family and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
