Bernadette Steele Grantham passed away January 21,2016. She was born in New Orleans, LA July 10, 1934, with all of the celebratory attitude the city has to offer. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and married Robert C. Grantham, Jr.,after his tour in Korea. They were married 45 years when he passed in1998. She pursued her artistic passion teaching art and hosted a PBS weekly art show. She enjoyed the love of the outdoors; hiking, fishing, etc. in Yellowstone and the Smoky Mountains with her husband. She is survived by her son Robert C. Grantham III, of Keystone,CO, daughter, Bernadette and Bobby Bowers, of Cornersville, TN, son, Eric and Sally Grantham of Atlanta,GA,and daughter, Missy and Jerry Bryzowski of Cordova, TN;Grandchildren R.Carson Grantham, IV, of Portland, OR and Moriah Grantham Of Memphis, TN. Her daughter, Leisa Grantham is remembered in passing 2015. A Memorial service celebrating the life of Bernadette will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Tuesday January 26, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Appalachian Trail Conference.
