Bessie Mae Craft Fulton, age 70, of Memphis, TN departed this life, after a long illness on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Bessie was born in Olive Branch MS on July 22,1951 to the late Willie and Mae Ella Craft. She was the eighth child of fourteen children. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Essa Stokes, Allie B. Hammond and Everlean Harris; three brothers, James A. Davis, Jim H. Craft, and Willie B. Craft.
Bessie was baptized at an early age at the Church of Christ located on South Parkway East. She was united in holy matrimony to Joe Fulton on March 4, 1993. Bessie was a kind, fun loving person who loved cooking, dancing, gardening and having fun. She never met a stranger and she enjoyed being around people.
She leaves to cherish her memory three beautiful children, Julius D. Craft of Memphis, TN , Justin Craft (Jennifer) of Knoxville,TN and Jamie D. Bonds (George) of Fort Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Janell, George(Tre') and Justin (JJ) Bonds; five sisters, Ophelia Wood, Addie Hughes-Stump, Vera McNary, Faye Craft, and Eara Wilks (Dean) all of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Steve Craft (Katie) and Herman Craft of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones that will sincerely miss her happy spirit.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with services to follow at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. The committal service will be held at 1:00PM at West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
