Betty Crawford Lewis

Betty Crawford Lewis, 70, of Germantown, TN., previous resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Elizabeth Crawford. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James L. Lewis, Jr. "Jimbo", children, Benjamin Crawford Lewis, Clifton Phillips Lewis, Katherine Elizabeth Lewis, siblings, Gary (Linda) Crawford, Charlotte Davis, a sister-in-law, Lillis Lott Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and lived her life in His honor. She was a devoted wife, mother and church member. Betty graduated from the University of South Alabama and spent her years working as a successful and gifted sales woman. The family cordially invites friends to share memories of Betty on Thursday, September 1st from 10 o'clock in the morning until the time of the funeral service at 11 o'clock in the morning at Germantown United Methodist Church, 2331 S. Germantown Rd in Germantown. There will be a graveside service on Friday, September 2nd at 2 p.m. at Rumbley Cemetery in Peterman, AL. Time to be announced. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks donations to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
