Betty E. Moore

Betty was born in Memphis on July 8, 1929, graduated from Central High School and continued her education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and achieved the elite status of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. While at UT, she met her husband to be Roy A. Moore, Jr. Roy and Betty were married on July 20, 1951, until his death in 1984. After raising three sons she was the Lower School Secretary at The Hutchison School until her retirement in 1996. She was devoted to her grandchildren and was an avid UT Vol and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church until her health prevented her attendance. She remained a faithful follower while watching online these last few years. She is survived by her sons Mark (Debbie), Mitchell (Susan) and Wayne (Kitty); her grandchildren Alan (Erica), Katie, Kristin (Thien), Keenan, Mike (Delaney); her great-grandchildren Trey, Wells and Jake.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, Eads, TN.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 26th at 2:00 pm at Crossroads Baptist Church.
