Bobbie Langston was born April 6 1935 and passed on to her heavenly home October 18, 2021. She is survived by her 3 children, Debbie Betterton, Betty (Skeeter) Williams and Terry LaRue; eight grandchildren: Wendi Swallers (Jeff), Cheyna Pearson (Dan), Jill Beach, Lori Phillips (Ted), Cori Connell, Leslie Farrow (Jeremy), Blair Rogers (Craig), Brett Betterton (Melissa), and 18 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Dianne Easley (Joe) and Betty Carter (Ray) and several great nephews and nieces. Also two dogs she loved dearly, Little and Oliver.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Troy Wilbur Langston, parents Forrest and Mildred Waltrip, and brother Billy Waltrip.
Bobbie leaves a legacy of love throughout her entire family and her greatest desire was for them all to love each other and continue to spend time together the way everyone used to when “Papaw” was alive. She worked for 43 years as the office manager at McMurry construction and was on her way to work the very day the Lord called her home. Through the years her home was open to all family, holidays of love, laughter, the men snoring in the living room while the ladies laughed in the kitchen. In the younger years, grandchildren could be found laying on blankets in the living room floor. In recent years, great grands could be found in that same floor/living room. Bobbie wanted us all to celebrate her life, share memories together, and rejoice that she is with her Lord and Savior.
She encouraged all her family to do what they could to help others and be there for one another. Her life was an example of unconditional love. She loved family, flowers, and shopping with her sisters.
Bobbie was a long time member of Forest Hill Church of Christ.
