Bobbie Nell Mitchell

When she was a child her family moved to Red Bay Alabama where she met the love of her life, Cornelius. They were married on August 4, 1956, Bobbie's eighteenth birthday. Shortly after that they moved to Kenosha Wisconsin where they lived until retirement.

After retiring they moved back south to Bartlett TN where she finally got out of the cold weather and quickly made friends with all of her new neighbors. Bobbie enjoyed sewing and made many quilts and curtains for her family and friends. Much of her time was spent caring for "Ronnie", their special needs son until she and Cornelius went into Memory Care five years ago;

Bobbie departed this life on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Collierville Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 1 day.

She is survived by sisters, Dortha Childers of Kenosha WI and Mary Pate Viera of Merritt Island FL, sons, Steve (Becky) Mitchell of Piperton TN and Ronald Mitchell of Memphis TN and a daughter, Kathy (Bob) Leis of Garner NC. Grandchildren Faith Mitchell, Ryne Mitchell, Manda Yszenga, Malory Dunwaldt, Megan Sandine and Mathew Leis. She also leaves 15 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Bobbie was predeceased by her brothers, James Lee Pate and Travis Junior Pate.

A graveside service for Bobbie will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd., Memphis TN 38134.
