Bobby Woodard was a great man and losing him has definitely taken a token on myself. Bobby came home one day and said he was going to apply for a school in Las Vegas he asked me to go with him we drove out to Las Vegas on our way home to MD he got a phone call that he got the job. Just in a few weeks we moved from MD to NV it's hard to write this because he ment so much to me but my shrink said it was time at it has been almost 3 years in November 16 Bobby Thank you for teaching me so much stuff and life you have been in my heart every day. Until we meet again my friend I will always Love you.

Bob Woodard will be missed so much by the Cashman Family. He brought us so much joy! I feel blessed to have worked with such an Angel on earth! He blessed me every day with his encouraging words and kindness! I love you, Bob Woodard!

We had the honor of sharing Bob’s health and fitness journey at Tony Cress Training Center. He was a bright light and inspiration to all - when the workouts got tough, he’d let out a hoot or holler and lift the energy in the room. I was especially blessed to have my Monday workouts with Bob - we always talked about how he prepared for the week on Sunday, so he could show up to school on Monday to lift the teachers that were struggling…. And top off what he always made a great Monday and start of the week with my 5:30 class. There is not a day goes by that we don’t look for him to walk through the door and light up the gym…..we hold him close in our hearts and send prayers of support to all who love him. 

Mr. Woodard, I will always remember your smile and aura of positivity! No matter the situation or circumstance,  you always spoke with a smile! It was so exciting having you as a guest teacher in my 7th period Math class. We loved your energy, love for education and your high level of excitement---my students & I will treasure the memory. You ARE truly missed at Cashman (Vegas)! Rest well until we meet again.

My Tennessee brother we would sit in class and talk about Tennessee politics and I remember you saying you wanted to be the first black senator from Tennessee, I enjoyed those talks with you, I learned alot about the Memphis community and about my own state and my place in it.

Bobby was a friend of mine in the SGI-USA. There, and in his career, his devotion to youth was obvious. I missed him after he moved to Las Vegas, but was happy to see him doing well on Facebook. We didn't have much in common, background-wise, but I'm grateful we were good friends anyway for many years.

Bobby and I were classmates at Fisk University! A very kind and loving soul. Bobby, you will be missed. #FiskForever

Mr. Woodard was one of my favorite teachers ever. I met him during one of the worst times of my life, when my mental health was destroyed and I didn’t feel worthy of living. He taught me strength and perseverance. He taught me that there are people in this world who could care about me, and he reassured me time after time that he was one of those people. He made me feel like life is worth living and that I am worthy of life. I’ll forever cherish our memories together in classes and during lunch. I miss you so much Mr. Woodard. Thank you for everything you’ve done. Thank you for the everlasting impact you’ve made on me and all of your students. Rest in Power ❤️
