Bonnie Lynn Tucker

Bonnie Lynn Tucker, 81, of Bartlett, passed away on March 6, 2014. Born in Osceola, AR on January 15, 1933, Bonnie was a Southside High School “Scrapper”, graduating in 1951. She worked for many years as a Shelby County Sherriff’s Deputy School Crossing Guard. She then began her career with Kellogg’s, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Kellogg’s Retirees Association and the 25 Year Club. She was also a very active member of New Life Church, and she loved to travel, but most of all, she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jackie Tucker; and her son-in-law, John Adams. Bonnie leaves 3 daughters, Patricia French of Bartlett, Kathleen Bearden (Ken) of Denton, TX, and Terri Adams of Memphis; her son, John Tucker (Beverly) of Bartlett; her sister, Mary Sheffield of Memphis; her brother, Bob Medley of Bremerton, WA; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 10, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue.
