Catherine Louise “Katie” Howard, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Methodist North Hospital. God called her home to be with Him. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Howard. She is survived by her devoted sister Shirley Miller and a brother Cecil Swafford, a granddaughter Catherin Miller “Little Katie”, a grandson Patrick Miller, a daughter-in-law, Pamela Miller, and many nieces and nephews. Katie enjoyed life to its fullest. She worked 37 years at Kellogg’s before retirement. She really enjoyed and loved people. She thought of everyone as a special friend. She also wanted to be a special friend to everyone. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m, until the funeral mass at 2 p.m., on Friday, April 19, 2013, at St. James Catholic Church, 4180 Leroy.
